Namibian Copper NL (“Namibian Copper” or the “Company”) is a dedicated mineral explorer formed in 2006 for the purpose of exploration, development and investment in the resources section.
 

Neil Warbuton

Non-Executive Chairman 

Mr Warburton is a graduate from the Western Australian School of Mines with an Associate Degree in Mining Engineering and has over 35 years' experience in all areas of corporate governance and mining operations.  Over the period 2000-2012 Neil held senior positions with Barminco Limited culminating in being the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) from August 2007 until March 2012.  During this time as CEO, he successfully grew Barminco into Australia and West Africa's largest underground mining contractor with revenues more than doubling.  Prior to joining Barminco Neil had several senior corporate positions, including Managing Director of Coolgardie Gold NL.  He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) and Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.  He currently serves as Non-Executive Chairman of ASX Listed Red Mountain Mining Limited and is a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed Australian Mines Limited, Sirius Resources Limited and Peninsular Energy Limited.  

Michael Curnow

Non-Executive Director 

Mr Curnow  has 40 years experience as a senior executive in the resources industry and with management of businesses in Australia and his native South Africa.  He was a founding director of Gallery Gold Limited, AGR Limited and Adamus Resources Ltd, all of which subsequently developed producing mines in Africa.  Michael is currently Non-Executive Director of Energy Ventures Limited and Citation Resources Limited.

 

Gregory Hall

Non-Executive Director

Mr Hall is a Director of Golden Phoenix International Pty Ltd a geological consulting group.  Greg was Chief Geologist for the Placer Dome Group from 2000 to 2006.  He managed Placer Dome's exploration activity in China from 1993 to 2001.  Before joining Placer Dome in 1988, he managed exploration in Western Australia for CSR Limited.  Greg has made significant contributions to the discovery of Rio Tinto's Yandi iron ore mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and to Barrick's Granny Smith gold mine in Western Australia including Keringal and Sunrise satellite gold mines.

Greg was educated at the University of New South Wales and graduated with Bachelor of Applied Science (First Class Honours) in 1973.

 

Ross Cotton

Non-Executive Director

Mr Cotton has extensive experience in both equity capital markets and corporate finance.  As a corporate adviser, he has been advising both public and public companies on strategy, financing, acquisitions and corporate restructuring across the technology, industrial and resource sectors for over 10 years.

Ross has raised significant capital (via both equity and debt arrangements) for a wide range of companies in the small to mid-cap markets and has a strong network of contacts in the investment industry throughout Australia, Asia and the United States of America.

Ross currently serves as Executive Chairman of ASX listed iCollege Limited (ASX.ICT). 

 

Jay Stephenson

Company Secretary

Mr Stephenson has been involved in business development for over 20 years including approximately 16 years as Director, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for various listed and unlisted entities in resources, manufacturing, wine, hotels and property. He has been involved in business acquisitions, mergers, initial public offerings, capital raisings, business restructuring as well managing all areas of finance for companies.

Jay is currently a non-executive Chairman of Quintessential Resources Limited and non-executive Director of Doray Minerals Limited, Drake Resources Limited, Nickelore NL and Strategic Minerals Corporation NL.  Jay is also Company Secretary for a number of ASX listed resource and industrial companies.
